A round mirror sits where a sunflower's seed head would be, ringed in tightly coiled dark brown chenille and then in two rows of long yellow petals, each one ribbed down its length so the light catches it the way a real petal does. Falling from the back of the head is a trail of small daisies - around thirty of them on green wired stems, set at staggered lengths so the cascade narrows to a single flower at the bottom. It hangs from a loop at the back, on a door, a hook or a nail, and it is a mirror you can actually use as well as look at. The trail can be made longer or shorter, and the daisies can be mixed in a second colour if you would rather it were not all yellow - say so when you order. Made to order, so allow us a good week for it.
Hang it out of direct sunlight; strong light fades dyed chenille over months. Dust the petals and the daisies with a soft brush or a hairdryer on its coolest setting held well back. Clean the mirror with a barely damp cloth, wiping inward, and keep water off the brown chenille ring around it. Never wash the piece or press a petal flat - the stems have wire through them, so anything knocked out of shape bends back. Lift it off its hook by the loop, not by the daisy trail.
